About Marysia Champ
As a fine artist based in Canada, I find inspiration in the natural beauty that surrounds me, nestled between the Rocky Mountains and the prairies. My artistic practice is dedicated to capturing fleeting moments in time, translating them into abstract skyscapes, landscapes, and oceanscapes that reflect the serenity and wonder of nature.
I work with a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, and watercolor, favoring a palette of earthy tones that evoke the organic essence of the world around us. My current work is deeply influenced by the Bow River, the expansive prairies, and the majestic Rocky Mountains, as well as my travels through New Zealand, Iceland, and Europe. Through my paintings, I aim to bring the calming and soothing effects of nature into the homes of my collectors.
Open Path Art Studio
In addition to my personal art practice, I am committed to fostering creativity in the next generation through Open Path Art Studio. Here, I offer specialized art classes for children and teenagers, guiding them through the enriching and exploratory world of process art.
At Open Path Art Studio, the focus is on the creative journey rather than the final outcome. Students engage in open-ended projects that encourage self-expression, curiosity, and a deep connection to the creative process. We utilize a wide range of materials, including pencils, watercolors, acrylic paints, graphite, crayons, and found objects, providing a diverse artistic experience that helps young artists discover their unique potential.
Whether your child is just beginning their artistic journey or is eager to explore new creative avenues, Open Path Art Studio offers a supportive and nurturing environment where creativity thrives. Join us in a space where there are no right or wrong answers—only endless possibilities for artistic exploration.
